How would one fix this? This is under the lower black part of the windshield. Should I just POR-15 it and leave it? Thanks in advance for all advise. Ron First time posting a pic (hope it works)

To me that seems like it needs more then just Por-15, looks like you will need to do some cutting and welding to get it right, then you hit it with Por-15. Lets see what some of the other more experienced guys tell you. They may have a better and quicker fix.

My 1973 Mach1 looked the same...except mine was on the passenger's side. I cut it out and I made my own patch and MIG welded it. I put epoxy primer on it and then painted it with acrylic enamel with a hardener before I put the glass back in. I figure it will last the rest of my life since the Stang is garaged now.
