Everyone on this group is great, but I might be pushing it asking for this:
My project car had a lot of its interior metal cut or torched out (ouch!). I've replaced near all of it, but I don't know what the hook/latches look like that hold in the rear seat! All I have are big holes ripped open in the floor board where they used to be. I have a 67 fastback with the fold-down rear seat (but only have a 65/66 2+2 rear seat assembly. rats!), but don't know anyone with the same car that I can slide the rear seat out of to see what it looks like and take some measurements.
Does anyone have any pictures from a buildup that would show this?? Or could they explain what it looks like? The manual picture is pretty rough. If no one steps up to bat, I completely understand. Thanks!

I don't follow you. Which car are you working on? If its the 67, I have my 68 fastback tore apart right now and can get a pic posted or emailed tomorrow.

BTW, if you are using the 65/66 rear seat assembly, it is identical to the 67/68 except you need the latch hole in both sides of the chrome molding vice just one side as it is now.

Hey sigtauenus, thanks! I would REALLY appreciate some pictures of it, otherwise I'm lost! If you could, toss a ruler beside it for scale, that would be awesome. Since I had to replace the wheel wells, could you snap a few of the latch receiver welded to the top of the right (passenger) wheel well too? (I have the severed left one only).
As to your question, I'm restoring a 67 fastback, but a friend gave me a fold down rear seat set from a 65/66. He told me it might fit, and I asked this group before, but the input was sketchy as no one really knew. You're the first to tell me it's the same except for the latch issue which is easily resolved! Thanks for that too!! My email address is peavy@fusion.gat.com Thanks again sigtauenus!

No problem. I will probably get to the pictures on Saturday. I still have to pull the fiberglass panel off the passenger side, not a big deal as it needs to be done anyhow... I have been slacking lately.

Yes, you have. The interior for Terri's car is done. Now the engine compartment, well that is a different story. But it is also comming along.

Let me know if you got all those pictures ok. Also, I didn't notice until afterwards that I took a picture I didn't intend, was jostling around back there and bumped the button. Fortunately I was wearing all my clothing at the time. I tried to make as many references to stuff with the tape measure that you are likely to have, such as the ribs in the floor or seatbelt bold holes, brake line clip holes, etc. Its apart now for awhile, so feel free to let me know if you need anything else or any I already took re-measured.

Wow, super thanks to sigtauenus!! I got a boat load of pictures, all with a measuring tape referenced from different locations around the brackets I know have to fab.
I noticed the picture you didn't mean to send. At first I thought you were snapping some remote detail you could only get whilst standing on your head or something! I'm glad you had your clothes on too!! lol!
Thanks again sigtauenus, much appreciated.
PS Installed the wiring harnesses (I've gotten from three separate cars!) into my car this weekend and started it up with a key for the first time. Always an exciting time!
