I've been having hardstarts lately when my car sits. So today i took alook in the carb and no gas in the bowl. It's a 2brl carb. I rebuilt the carb awhile ago. Where could it be leaking from the powervalve?. Any other ideas? Thanks for the help. Mike

I would think to check the oil level if the fuel pump diaphram (opps) breaks it will leak down and pump into the oil. Ive been there and done that.

Mike, Should have seen where you live sooner, but with the temps y'all are having in Vegas right now, it sounds like you have a heat issue that is percolating the gas off. Don't know where to begin

The one of only a few times I have the right answer, and I can't get connected. My 2bbl started doing the same thing, changed the acc pump gasket, it worked good a couple weeks, then started leaking very bad. I had the 600 and intake, so I just went ahead and did the swap. BIG difference in everything. If you are planning on doing the swap, I would go with a Holley, and a dual-plane intake. Vic Jr's are pretty hot right now, from what I gather from the posts I read here lately. Anyhoot, glad you found the problem, and if you are ever up this way, stop in. I'm the only TAXI Co in town, and it's easy to find. I work 6pm to 6am Mon thru Sat.
