Does anyone know the water temp and oil pressure scaling specs for the sending units on Ford FE motors? That is, 0-240degrees yields a resistance of 150-60 ohms, or whatever the numbers are? Need it for H2O temp and oil press. Can't find anything in the service manual or online. Thanks!

I don't have the specs but I know the water temp senders are only linear to around 160 degrees. After that a rise in temperature gives a smaller needle movement. Hot on the guage is really hot. The senders from that era should be the same for all the different engines. Here is some info on pressure senders: http://www.egauges.com/vdo_sgrp.asp?Subgroup=Pressure_Sender

Thanks guys, that sheds some light on it. I heard that for the temp sender, as heat goes up, resistance goes down. So that jives with the temp meter peged HOT when grounded.
