Hello, I am upgrading my 68 to a one wire alternator and have a few questions. The directions say to just unhook my wires from my old alternator and unplug the voltage regulator/alternator harness. Then just run the single wire to the starter relay and that it. What I am wondering is what do you do with old alternator wires? I could tape them up, but aren't they still hot?? Any help would be apprciated, thanks.

Not exactally sure on the other wires,
but just make sure you hook the one wire to the hot side (not the starter side) of the starter solinoid.

for 100 amp alternator I would guess to say 10 gauge wire. but I would not run smaller than that myself.
