When a part has "R" meaning Right, what side is that on? Is it as if you were sitting in the car looking forward or the other way? Im trying to put my engine mounts back in and i dont know right from left!

I believe driver side is L
pass. side is R

As you're sitting in the car.
Thats the way I remember it ,You may want to varify that with others.

Look at me and point to my right hand.

A vehicle has only one right side and one left side. It does not depend on where you are looking at it from.

Think of Aussies and Brits have 'right hand drive' cars with the steering wheels on the opposite side of rest of the free world.

And by the way, rubber engine mounts should be interchangeable from side to side when using a small block.

There are far more countries do that than you might think! One of the world's biggest auto makers, Japan, comes to mind.
