Greetings all, I've got a heater core leak on my 72 Mach1...any tips before I tear into this project...from what I can see it looks like a pretty big project. Any hints would be appreciated.

A 65 is easy. A 69 with air is harder. I would install a valve to shut it off in the summer. I remember a service note in 69 or 70 about installing a washer with a small hole in the heater hose line to keep from blowing the heater core.

Just done mine (73 Mach1) really easy compared to some, just remove the passenger side airduct assy & unclip the plastic rivits holding the demisting & drivers side ducting, disconnect air control cables & heater wiring, remove heater pipes from the bulkhead side then undo the nuts holding the heater box & remove it from under the passenger side of the dash. The core can be removed by removing the small rectangular cover then sliding it out.

I've probably missed something out but the whole task only took a couple of hours
