Anybody ever use polyurethane bushings from a company called Prothane Motion Control? They list a poly-trans mount for a 70 Mustang. Summit has it for $26...

Does anyone else offer one?

Sounds like a great idea, but I have no prior experience or knowledge of the manufacturer. Provided that the dimensions are identical (height, specifically) with the stock piece, it should be a great upgrade provided that it dosne't change the drivetrain angle.

Just a word of warning. If you install the poly mount, you might get all sorts of new and strange vibrations.....

Not to hijack, but whats a for sure sign it's gone??? Sometimes when I downshift manually, I hear a slight thump around the tranny area. Thanks for any replies.

ive had my (both) motor mounts rip right in half on a six cylinder. I was thinking since it would stiffen the movement of the trans it would create more movement thru the rest of the drivetrain. it might last forever but I think rubber is more forgiving.
