A cowoker told me that the new ford dual master cylinders have built-in proportioning valves is this true?. Thanks

At the risk of sounding stupid, I thought all modern family cars have built-in proportioning valves. Don't they?

Yes, Would that be a better idea then buying the the master cylinder and proportioning valve seperate?.

I remember replacing the master cylinder on our 84 ford escort many years ago and I think the valves screwed right into the bottom of the master cylinder before the brake lines screwed in.This is the aluminium type master cylinder with the plastic brake fluid resevoir.
