I just got dual exhaust put on my 66 coupe and the rear brake flex line is right against the exhaust.I know the factory dual exhaust cars had a longer flex line and relocated the bracket on the body of the car.I can't seem to find any pics to show me where the bracket goes.Does anyone have a link or some pics of a dual exhaust/GT car so I can see where the bracket goes? Also any ideas for a new bracket?------------------ 1968 mustang j-code sprint.13.69@101 306cu.in, stock ported heads, weiand exellerator,650 holley DP,hedman hedders, comp 292 Magnum cam,4-speed,8 inch 4.11 detroit locker...................................................................1966 mustang coupe project.289 4 speed,3.20 rear http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/MembersPics/mustangboy.html

Thanks for the link Steve I knew I had seen it somewhere before but couldn't remember where.I wish there pictures were a little bigger though, especially where the bracket goes onto the floor of the car...My local parts stores don't list two different rear hoses.I wonder if the ones they make now are extra long and just replace both styles???? ------------------ 1968 mustang j-code sprint.13.69@101 306cu.in, stock ported heads, weiand exellerator,650 holley DP,hedman hedders, comp 292 Magnum cam,4-speed,8 inch 4.11 detroit locker...................................................................1966 mustang coupe project.289 4 speed,3.20 rear http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/MembersPics/mustangboy.html

NPD sells a new bracket that is mounted furthur to the left(toward the outside). There is sort of an L stamping in the floor vertical section behind seat that will show you where it should be mounted. You should get a new line PITA! that goes from front to back This line would be like the factory dual exhaust. A different hose on the rear end that will reach the new bracket location is needed also. With the new line and the new hose, they would both meet at the new bracket location with ease. Did this install on a C-code 66 cv.

Mellow yellow thanks for the info.I will fab up a new metal line but does anyone know how long the rubber flex line should be?..Like I said all my local parts stores only list one rear flex line so I need to know if it is the proper length.------------------ 1968 mustang j-code sprint.13.69@101 306cu.in, stock ported heads, weiand exellerator,650 holley DP,hedman hedders, comp 292 Magnum cam,4-speed,8 inch 4.11 detroit locker...................................................................1966 mustang coupe project.289 4 speed,3.20 rear http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/MembersPics/mustangboy.html

If you can order from NPD you can get the right stuff. The hose sells in the US for 18.95 and that bracket is 6.50. In the catalog they say it is a weld on which is correct. But...the day I put mine on, my welder was being used by a friend, so I bolted it on with 2 1/4-20 hex head stainless bolts. They also sell corect pre bent rear axle line set. That is the first brake line to go.
