I came across some NOS parts in a friends basement, and one of the boxes contained fender skirts for a 65 Mustang. I have never heard of such an option, or seen them on any cars. The label on the box stated it was manufactured by Procraft, 1965 Mustang Fender Skirts. The skirts were stamped "MUS 65", and used a latching mechanism to attach them to the rear wheel opening. I was wondering if anyone has seen such an option before? Andy

Yes, I have seen them before. I do have a book with a picture of them installed on a '65 Stang. There were lots of after market items made for Mustangs. Such as a lighted grill, bumperetts with horse shoes, etc.... Great find! Welcome to Mustangsandmore.com. Check out all the Forums and enjoy. Dave: Those would look great on your coupe. Everyone would be green with envy! ROTFLMAO! Actually that is a rare find. Put those on eBay and you'll get a lot of money!

Like Mellow said, they are quite rare. In all of my judging and shows, I can only recall seeing two cars with them on. Both were ugly as hell!Oh, welcome to M&M Mike

Welcome to M&M ! Foxcraft was the largest manufacturer of aftermarket fender skirts. FoMoCo did offer them in 1965-66 as a dealer installed option. I have some old adds that show them. Ugliest dress up item I have ever seen on an early Mustang. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First NHRA & IHRA 289 automatic Superstock Mustang in the TENS 06-99 First SS/MA in the TENS 04-03 IHRA division 5 Superstock Champion Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked."
