tried searching but couldnt find what I was looking for. im following thru on this v8 swap and im in the process of finding an 8 inch to throw in. I remember reading that i dont need to change my 66 6 cylinder springs with the swap but doing some part research they sell a 65/66 v8 rear leaf spring. i did rear while searching that they are very similiar but not exact. anybody running 6 cylinder leafs with a v8 swap?

You'll be fine with your current springs, as long as they are in good condition. The ratings difference between the 6 and 8 is so minor as to not be noticeable.
Even Ford recognized this and for the stock Ford replacement spring they use one part number- C7ZZ - to cover several years and all engine applications.
