Aah. Another early fastback owner. Welcome to M&M. There's a wealth of knowledge in this website's members.

As far as your question, you'll be able to get all the parts you need through almost any aftermarket vendor. The website's sponsors, NPD and Mustangs Plus, will surely be able to help you.

Welcome Grant! My first advice would be to run a search here for power steering threads, then decide if you really want it. In the opinion of many people, power steering on the early Stangs sucks and is better thrown out. Maybe that's what the previous owner did.
Then if you want to go shopping, if the NZ scene is dead, you'll find a lot of Mustang fans on the world's biggest island. It's got to be cheaper than shipping from the US.

If you do it go better and do the flaming river rac n pinion set up. Well worth the bucks and your steering will be as good as any car rolling out of the plant today (well maybe).

Welcome.

Richard.

Really? I thought Flaming River's rack 'n' pinion was still getting rotten reviews. There was the can't-fit-headers issue, and a whole lot more I read recently without really paying attention. I've never heard anything bad about Total Control except the horrible price tag, and will buy a setup one day myself.

Grant-- over at Fordsix.com theres a guy that used to go by the name of Xecute -- anyway-- hes also from New Zealand, Dunedin I think. He's been over at Fordsix as long as I can remember one helluva intelligent guy-- might be able to point you into some local places help you out some.. I'm sure hes had to do his fair share of importing himself.

Good luck and Welcome!

Luke
