Can some one with a stock V-8 model mustang. Meassure the distance between the radiator and the water pump pully or tip of shaft off water pump which ever is longer. I need to know whats the gap between the two (radiator and water pump pully).

Thanks Ron

Scoop,
Mine measures 4.25" from the tip of the waterpump shaft to the radiator fins (1965-1966 stock-type 4 core). I am running an electric fan (3.5"), so don't have the AC fan installed to get in the way of the measurements.

Thanks thats helpful, could you also tell me how thick your radiator is?

Does any one have a stock belt driven fan. If so could you tell me how thick that is,from the water to the edge of the fan.

I will measure the radiator tonight. I also will measure my stock A/C 5 blade fan and spacer to add to the info.

From the base of the spacer to the bolts holding the fan on is 3 1/8", plus the amount the fan blades stick out. Fan + spacer total = 4.0"

Radiator blade thickness is 2", and the top of the radiator is 3". The radiator blade surface + mounting flange = 2 1/8"

Hope this helps.
