anybody else put a kickdown cable in a 68 mustang 289/c4?? Mine doesnt have one so I purchased one but dont know how to get it on. How does it stay attached to the lever on the tranny and the gas pedal? How much slack is there supposed to be?

Any info would be great!!!

This may get you started. If it doesn't get it done I can try to scan the crummy diagrams in my Chilton's and post them for you. Got you back to the top anyway.

It’s a little greasy but you should get the idea. The other end has a clip similar to what is used at the end of the accelerator linkage or the door latch rods.
