Putting new 5 leafs in rear dumping the stock 4 leaf trying to get rid of tire rub> I got the standard spring eye 5 leaf performance ride springs. I am waiting on front disc brake kit to arrive from SSBC Classic force 10 kit with 4 piston aluminum calipers and slotted rotors.m I also picked up control arms upper and lower, swaybar bushings, new end links, and inner and outer tie rods. Can't wait for decent stopping power!

New parts are cool

I'm curious to know how the 5-leafs work out for you. My 4-leafs are shot and are in desperate need of an upgrade.

I sure like Calvert's new bi-leafs...

I have the 4.5 leafs from MustangsPlus. Stopped my rubbing no problem. Soon to be putting a 2" drop block on. We will see what happens.

Spring wer a bit--! But I got er done! they are alot stiffer maybe 1/2" higher. I was almost as bad as taking the stock originals off, I had to cut the bolts off the front perches, I screwed up and put the wrong sleeve on the front perch and had to pull in back off after I already had the other side off, made lining up the left side a little tough. Hopefully next week the brakes and front suspension rebuild. BTW rear springs got a complete poly bushing set including heavy duty shackle kit from Energy Suspension.

Tom clamping the springs helps to stop wheel rubbing too. It limints the amount of travel better for off the line too. I use 4 leafs with clamps front and rear even with all of my family in the car it doesn't sag. We are not a small family either some 750 pounds between the four of us.

How do you clamp them Scoop? My passenger side always rubs on certain bumps, and it's scary. Thanks for any info.

Probably your old springs were 1/2" too low due to sag.
