I did my engine bay. I have to say I am not a body guy. This was my first attempt. It did not come out badly but it did not come out as well as I thought it would. I did the sanding, primer, and paint thing. It looks a lot better than it was before. What do you folks think? I did not take everything off the fire wall. For now it will do I guess. Next the new motor goes in. Comments, suggestions for next time. Thanks. Richard. ------------------ rmousir '66 Mustang Ford Blue & white stripes 302 auto Mustang ~ 04-05

I would take care of any issues you may have right now before that pretty motor goes in. You don't want to have to paint around that motor.

I know it is 1000% better than it was before because the part you didn't do looks just like mine did! Like gmliebau said, if you are not 100% happy you better take care of it before that beautiful motor goes in. I gotta say that you have done the heavy lifting already. It is just a couple more hours to take off the hood, the hood hinges, the MC and finish up that corner and hood hinges/area. And, it ain't that tough or expensive to take care of that jelly jar MC while it's out for added safety. Mine is not a very good pic as it has 9 months worth of dust on it and all the loose wires don't help. But it will be getting shined up so I can put a motor in next weekend, I hope. I'm pretty happy with mine but it is cr*p compared to what some guys do. If you're not happy I'm not happy. If you're happy, I'm happy. You're the one that counts. ------------------ Jerry Cooper Candy Apple Red, 66' Coupe, Wide Ratio Toploader 9" 3.25 Traction Loc 302 Block on the Engine stand Soon to be 300+ HP 15" Styled Steel Wheels

I took another look at the engine bay and you guys are right. I did a good job but I can do better on the areas that I did not do well on. I will take another stab at the little things that I don't like. It raining and I am not in that big a hurry to drive it. Lets see what I can do Saturday. I am sure it will be worth it.Thanks for the encouragement folks.
