I am replacing my MC and planed on using Dot 4. I was looking at the Synthetic which has a higher temp rating and was wondering if anyone had any opinions or issues with Synthetic brake fluid? With a 351w in a 65 coupe and the header tube not that far away from the MC I figure the higher the temp rating the better. I have enough of the Dot 4 and Synthetic to plumb the system just wondering which would be better to use.
Also can Dot 3 and Dot 4 be mixed? Have Dot 3 in the merc and truck.

I like the Dot3 and 4 better than the Synthetic.

Synthetic should only be used for racing where hard and constant braking is experianced.
You can mix 3 and 4.

Thanks,
Since I do little hard braking I will stick with the Dot 4.
