The car is in paint and soon it will going back together.

I am not going with the stock 68 grill and ornament/corral look. What I want is a single running horse ornament in the middle of a custom grill that I am considering. What I would like is a fairly large ornament. Does anyone know - of the years that the running horse is separate from the corral - which year's is the largest? Any ideas on the new ones for the 2005/6's?

I can't find any info, but from pics it appears that the 68 might be the biggest anyway.

Thanks

Gregg

Always wondered:
When I stand in front of a Mustang and look at the grill, why is that pony running to the left? Was Iacocca a Democrat?

I used one out of a 68 Mustang on my 67 coupe. Also put a pair of Hella 500 driving lamps in the grille, looka a lot like the 2006 Mach 1 !

According to one account I read, Iaccoca said the Mustang was a wild stallion and was free to run in whichever direction it wanted.

I've heard the tale that it was always supposed to be running to the right, but there was a SNAFU and the designers sent it the "wrong" way.
If anything, I think it should be running forward, like a Jaguar or a Dodge Ram, but I guess the front of a horse's face isn't too pretty.
