Which line is the return on a C4? I just bought me a cooler, and I want to be sure it's flowing right. My instructions show from the front of the car, looking down from the top of the radiator, the left one is the return line. I'm going to hang it in front of the radiator, with the inlet/outlet nipples towards the left also. If I go that route, I got it figured the top nipple is for inlet, and the bottom is outlet. Does this sound correct to you guys??? Sorry, but I only want to do this the right way, the first time. Thanks for any time and replies.

Not totally sure Mike. The instructions they send with parts today are almost worthless to the layman, me anyways.

i can understand it on a stock cooler built into the radiator because of the direction that the water flows through it. i just cant see where it would matter on an aftermarket one. not being a smart azz, just showing my ignorance!!

I don't think you're being wise. I just wanted to be sure, I don't want to fry the transmission. Running the lines are another problem now

Why not just leave the stock lines the way they are, just disconnect from your rad, add high pressure hydraulic lines to the end of them and just run the new section of lines to the new rad cooler and you are done.
Remember to plug off the connections to your rad so no junk, dirt etc can get into it.

The rubber lines are what I'm talking about John . On the 68's, the section behind the grille where the radiator sits is pretty much sealed. I have them ran over by the turn signal and out so they loop under the frame and over to the lines at the radiator. It'll work, I just didn't want to hook it up wrong, I worry when I do things for the first time.

Hooked up, hidden, and no leaks! How much more fluid should it take now, I'm sure it's gonna be down some right? Thanks for all the replies and help everyone.
