Others will jump in here to add and correct me I am sure but,You won't be able to use the front suspension on your 67 (assuming from your sig). I suggest the grab a track set up from mustangs plus. I have mixed info about the rear sway bar. Depends on who you talk to but will reccommend the following: 620 1" drop coil springs in the front new perches with poly 1" sway bar with poly Monte carlo bar export brace Good set of med firm shocks (monrow are on my car) new leafs in the back I have 4.5 leafs with a stock eye. Will be adding the 2" drop block soon. Also go with some wider wheels and lower profile. As for the rear end I am not sure. I have not done that yet. Disc breaks, you have lots of options. I hope to get a set from a older car that will bolt on but there are complete kits, the granada swap, and bracket adapter kits. Any will give you what you like but read up on them first. Also lots of options for the rear as well. I don't think it is needed though. As long as you have the time and the money you should do just fine. If you buy that car let me know I am looking for a set of good bucket seats. :-) Richard.

I have a 67 mustang with a welded up 9" rear diff(bought it that way).it also leaks bad.I swaped the 289 to a 91 5.0 HO carbed.I dont want to spend any money on the old suspension because i want p/s and p/b with diskes all around.Have a buddy who wants to donate his brand new 94 cobra 20" rims and new low pro tires. Thinking > of buying a 94 wrecker parts car with good rear end and front suspension. You're looking at major fabrication. If you have to ask this question, you probably don;t have the skills to pull it off. The '94 has a modified Machperson strut front, with a coil spring 4 link in the rear and rack and pinion steering. The '68 has upper and lower control arms in the front, located by strut rods, leaf springs in the back, and recirculating ball steering. You'd start by hacking out the front shock towers on the '68. Fatman Fabrications has an approach that uses some of the '94 parts: http://www.fatmanfab.com/06page19.htm You could cut the brackets off the rear and weld on leaf spring pads but I have no idea whether the width is right. Just adding my $.02 worth. I've been thinking about doing the Fatman kit on my sons '67 F/B also. The $2000.00 plus parts is a big cunch of change. I just did a Grab-a-Trak, Granada disc brake swap for a little over a quarter of that on my '65 coupe. The Fatman kit uses a Rack & Pinion from an Escort. As for the rearend it's hard to beat what you have. For the time and money it would take swapping in 8.8, just change your 3th member. Look for Explorer or a Versaille for the rear disc. If you want the modern big wheel thing there's wheel adaptors for around 300 bucks. I don't know if 20s will fit but 17s do. But just adding up cost the more expensive way to go is that Fatman way even with a buddy giving away 20s. ------------------ Darryl Eichenlaub 1965 Mustang Coupe restomod 289,c4,body and interior mods. 1956 F-100 460,c6,9" major body mods, on going project. 1967 Mustang Fastback, father/son project 5.0,5spd,9". 1975 F250 4x4 Highboy 390,4spd,35",custom paint. 2002 Mustang v6,5spd, daughters college ride. 2001 Ford Escape, Wifes grocery getter.
