After waiting almost 6 months of driving weather followed by winter storage, I have finally had the wheels I've been waiting to be delivered installed. 68 S-code GT came by my shop to see the car yesterday before I had them installed, it was nice of him to stop by. Anyway here is a link to a photo of the wheels on the car. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/9/web/597000-597999/597572_75_full.jpg These are Vintage Wheel Series 50, 16 x 8 size. We tried to squeeze 245/50 tires in the back, but found it just to tight. I ended up with all four corners having 225/50 tires. At a car show last summer a guy who was looking at my car told me where I could get the red backround Hertz center cap labels. The only ones I had been able to find had a gold backround, the red ones are an exact match. These wheels and tires really fill out the wheel wells on the car. I am very pleased with the over all effect.

Looks really sweet! So what kind of front suspension mods have you made?

Thanks, I've changed almost everything in the suspension.I have a Flaming River gear, Shelby quick steer kit with the roller bearing, roller spring perches, Global West upper and lower control arms, adjustable stut rods, and variable rate 1" drop coil springs. I used KYB gas-a-just shocks all around. In the rear I used 138#, 1" drop 4 leaf springs, and Global West Del-a-lum shackles. The ride and handling is great, I had weld in sub frame connectors installed and have an export brace and a monte carlo bar. Ride height, from the fender lip to the ground in the front is 24 1/2 and 24 3/8 in the rear. While I'd like to rear to be a little higher than the front, an 1/8 of an inch is close enough for now.

I saw Jeff’s car that morning before it got the new shoes and all I have to say is that the picture don’t do the car justice. It’s sweet and very clean! I don’t mean that you could eat off of it (but you could) but just the way the car is put together.
