It's really nice to not be embarassed to open the hood in public. Hell, I'm pulling strangers off the street just for an excuse to open the hood. Sounds good, goes good. I've got to get the the track and see if I can get a time slip in the 13's in street trim.

I'm having some issues getting the AC bracket and alignment so that is why it's not done (gettin' warm in Tucson). I am still going to do some more cleanup on the wiring but it does look a little better than before. And it's WAY faster.

Mustangboy, you are right. It was work but worth it. The funny part is that when I was doing all the grunt work, stripping the engine compartment, cleaning all the parts, nuts and bolts. You would have thought there wasn't a motor head in the freakin' state! Now I can't open the garage without a neighbor stopping buy to talk hot rods and offer to help with any more work I might have to do on it. I'm like, "Ok, let's make sure the air cleaner nut is on tight and go test the Traction bars, Trac-Loc and secondaries!!!" That's about all that's left. Ok, I've already tested the Traction bars, Trac-Loc and secondaries. As far as I can tell they are perfect but you can never be too sure.

Wow, what a difference. The before photo looks like it should be from another car. You did a terrific job. Enjoy it to the max. Charlie

Thanks guys! Charlie, it's kind of funny that I did the body work, mostly in a JC autobody class, then painted it in my garage, then did the suspension and put the new shoes on a couple months after. That was about 10 years ago. That means that cool looking car has had that horrendous engine compartment and weak motor for that long. She's lots happier now.

William, it was so much work it is definitely 2 different bays. They just happen to be in the same car. Imagine how nervous I was the whole time I was using the paint stripper around that shiny red paint. Thanks.
