Hi all, anyone know if a 1965 , 1966 Mustang steering shaft spline is the same size as the one used on a 1963 Falcon ? I want to buy a reproduction 1965/1966 Mustang steering wheel and use it on my 1963 Falcon,Will it fit the shaft ?

Bob, I could be totally wrong on this, but I think they are universal. You'll have to get the kit for the Falcon column, but basically the wheels are interchangable on these cars. Someone else know for sure???

Bill, the reason I want a Mustang wheel is I can find a used one of them in good shape a lot faster and cheaper than a Falcon wheel that will allow me to use the Falcon Sprint horn ring.I have a question tho, what do you mean I may have to use a kit for the Falcon collumn ? it seems that if they are interchangeble on the splines the only difference in the two wheels would be the diameter where the steering wheel meets the collumn.

The kit goes on the end of the column to cover the internals. I had to order one when I changed my wheel from stock. I haven't been in a Falcon in years, so I don't remember what they look like, AND to tell ya the truth, I read the question wrong the first time. I thought you wanted to know if the spline count on the wheels were the same, and I'm 100% sure they will be. Sorry Bob, but at least it's back in action, so maybe someone will stumble in with the answer.
