My restoration project (68 GT500 Fastback)is about complete and the car should be back in my possession by sometime in early to mid June. I'll be pulling the rims/tires that have been on it for the restoration and putting on the 15x7 Shelby 10 Spokes that I bought off of Branda. I'm wondering what size tires will fit front and back without any rubbing while turning. Looking to put on BF Goodrich T/A Radials. Also concerned if these rims will have interference problems with the disc brakes in front as I've read about somewhere previously. Any input greatly appreciated!

Depending on the backspacing, and how well it's aligned, you can go with 225 60's on the front without problems. On the back, you should be able to go as wide as 275 50's, but it depends on the B/S a lot too.

EDIT: You can go here, click on the Mustang, and it has different combo's on different years of cars.

Welcome to M&M by the way .

William, thanks for the info... I'll check that out. I'm not sure what the actual backspacing is on the Shelby 10 spokes that I bought thru Branda. Is it measured from the inside mounting face to the inside rim edge? Is there a maximum width tire that can go onto a 15x7 rim in general? Wasn't looking to go too wide up front though. More concerned with different write-ups I've read over the years about the 10 spokes interfering with the disk brakes... I guess I'll have to just wait until the car comes back and try it out...

Bob,
Welcome to M&M.
Warrenton...Sort of in my neck of the woods (Front Royal).
Maybe I'll see you at some of our local shows & cruise in's. I go to Manassas Burger King by the Airport once in a while & cruise in's & shows in Front Royal & Winchester areas. Let us know if there are any in the Warrenton area.

Joe
