Someone asked about rebuilding the 68-69 power disc distribution block and proportioning valve but I can’t find the post. It was either here or in the 69-73 area. I knew that I saw something somewhere and might have posted the link also but I can’t find the post and I can't remember .

I think some posts from back in the ol' days no longer survive.
Thanks Ed. That's a keeper. I plan on restoring a 1968 distribution block/valve setup, but I keep putting it off because I hear repair kits are impossible to find. With luck I won't need one.

yes, good info, this is way down on my to-do list, but something I have put off because I don't know how to do in the first place.

Prop valve rebuild kits for the 68 cylindrical unit are available from Branda. What was interesting: the stock plumbing under the dist block to the prop valve was a perfect fit with a SSBC adjustable valve. Figured it was the lesser of two evils!

Pete,

Did you have the cigar shaped on or the short one? I have the cigar shaped one in the fastback and the coupe has the short one pictured below.

Cigar shaped one, which is 3" by 5/8" in diameter. The Branda kit is for that one. Never saw one like the one you picture # on mine is C70Z 4-2B09

I think it was a Ford replacement. The coupe was built on the west coast where the fastback was built here in Jersey. The fastback and one I got from a 69 Cougar looked like the one in this picture.
