Hi,

I'm swapping a 8" rearend in place of the weak 7.25" rear thats currently in the car and I need to know what the center to center measurement of the spring pads are on a original Stang rearend.

I was told that a 69 Falcon 8" is a direct bolt in swap....

The backing plate to backing plate measurement is 52" which is fine, But I'm coming up with 43.25" center to center for the spring pad on the rearend thats in it now (7.25"), and 44.50" for the 8" Falcon rearend that I'm installing.

If I have to I can cut and reweld the spring pads.

I posted here several weeks ago about looking for some stock 15x7 steel wheels and I was told (I forgot by who though) that I could get them from Summit Racing and I recieved them last week and just wanted to say thanks!

Doug
