Hello. Just finished installing the grab a track front suspension rebuild kit and thought I measured the sway bar correctly. My (probably stupid) question is should the front sway bar fit snug in the frame bushing or should there be some play? I've never done anything at this level mechanically until now. The kit (upper and lower arms, perches and idler arm)went in smoothly. I haven't lowered her to the ground yet to tighten up the end links (that is supposed to be done on the ground right?) By the the way she turned 39 today! Thanks Mr. Marti

the bolts on the frame part should be pretty tight. That should not affect the performance of the sway bar.

Yes the car should be on the ground before you tighten the end links.

Richard.

The bushing should wrap around the bar without any slop. You don't want it to bind on there but it also shouldn't be walking around.

Thanks for the responses Scott and Richard. The bar definately has room to walk around, time to call NPD and get the right size bushing. "Measure twice order once" I guess!!

Slip an open-end wrench over the bar. When you find a wrench that fits, that's your size.
(3/4" 13/16" 7/8" etc)

Geez, never thought of the wrench. Anyhow it's less than 3/4" so I just decided to get the 1" bar, it'll be here next week. Can't wait to put it on and then get it alighned. Thanks for the input Scott.

You'll like how the sway bar improves your overall handling!
