My 68 coupe w/ 289 has started a small oil leak. I have never had any leaks before and want to take care of this one right away.
Awhile ago I started seeing oil on the oil filter which is right next to the oil pressure sending unit.
Has anyone ever had this happen and what is the best way to fix it.
There is like a pipe coming out of the engine block with the oil sending unit attached to it with a wire coming out of the top of it.
What should I do??!
thanks for all the help

On my 68 I actually started a leak from around the seam on the sending unit itself.

Is it leaking where it screws into the engine block or at the sending unit? That white silicone plumbers tape works well.

I wouldn't take any chances here, go ahead and change the sending unit asap. I had one a while ago that just split open and the engine lost all of it's oil.Sending units are cheap and easily replaced.
