hope somebody can help me with this, i drove my coupe from my home to Hershey 3 days last weekend. about 112 miles round trip each day. on the way home the first day i noticed a rattling sound at 65 to 70 mph. at first i thought it was a wheel bearing but i happened to rest my hand on the shift knob & it felt like its in the trans. the rattle goes away under 65 mph. i know, don't go 65 or faster...what,are you NUTS!!! ------------------ 34 coupe powered by 351 c 4v keith it`s nice to be important but more IMPORTANT to be nice.

I'm only chiming in 'cos no one else has. I'm no FMX expert, but I've had one of their drawbacks demonstrated to me. Some of the plumbing just pushes into place, rather than being bolted as on C4s and C6s. So over time, and rough roads, the plumbing can just pop out. However, I'd be inclined to think that would stop your tranny from working. Is it shifting normally?
