Does anyone have a Steel divider like the one in this picture?

If you do could you please get a overall height for it? I am making one out of Aluminum, and that measurement would really help me out.

Thanks
-Jeff

I cant get a good measurement for you. But I did use some cardbroad to make a template before cutting the metal one to fit.

Thanks, Did you bother to cut out the spot for the Drive shaft hump, and the two "slots"? Or did you just make a straight cut at the top of the hump?

Sorry I can't really get you any good measurements but I bought and installed the one in the picture.

I don't know if I was being too paranoind but I have three boys who ride in my back seat so when I did my interior project I installed some seat belts and also put in the divider. Plus I figured it would help with noise, fuel fumes, and exhaust fumes.

You do need the cutouts at the top, that's where the seat attaches. You can go with the straight edge on the bottom, it's right above the drive shaft hump and is a good place to fasten it.

I did not bother with the silicone seal that comes with it. Figured it was sealed alot better that not having one at all and didn't want the mess.

But I was in the process of putting in some soundproofing on my floor at the time and I spray glued some on this divider before I installed it.

If any of you guys are trying to seal the trunk area from the passenger compartment, don't forget there are a bunch of holes in the sheetmetal under the cardboard paackage tray, plus the area over the wheelwells is a cavity that goes from the trunk to the quarter-window area, so you might need to seal the holes behind the quarter trim panels also. And I suppose technically speaking, there are also a few small holes where the roof shell meets the quarter panel panel and trunk area.
But the biggest ones are the back seat and the package tray.
