How can I tell if my car is a 64 1/2 or a 65? I can't find the changes anywhere on the net.
Again Thanks....

Gernerators for 64.5
Alternators for 65

Incidentally, Ford never titled any mustangs as 64 or 64.5, there was simply an 18 month production run of 65's.

During a crossover or changeover period, Ford wouldn't throw out or stop using parts they already had on the shelf, so a lot of parts were continued from 64 1/2 well into the 65 models so use up the inventory.

I've owned my September 18, 1964 build Dearborn coupe since 72 and got it from a friend that bought it new, so I know most of the parts were original. It had 64 /12 hood bumpers, left headlight bucket was a 64 1/2 with the bevel front, right side was 65, 65 hood with rolled lip. Inside the carpet was 64 1/2 with vinyl trim up the rockers, adjustable passenger seat, center off heater switch, but it had an alternator. So it is living proof that Ford used up everything instead of throwing away at model changes.
