I have a vibration issue that I posted about yesterday. I have come to the conclusion that the harmonic balancer are 28oz imbalance and the same goes with the flywheel. I drove up to Mustangs Unlimited and tried to find a harmonic balancer and flywheel but there was no tech support just counter catalog guys. I am looking for a source for a harmonic balancer with the three bolt for my pulley and the correct flywheel both needing to be the 50oz imbalance. This if for my 65stang with a 85 302 motor. I also am need the harmonic balancer to be compatible with my old style timing cover with the cast in pointer. The flywheel needs to be able to accept the 11" clutch that the previous over converted to. Everything so far has been for 10 1/2 and smaller... If I have to,I will install a 10 1/2 clutch kit. But,I prefer the 11 if possible. Again thanks for your replies earlier and I look forward to more.

Bill

here is the balancer that I used. I have a 95 motor in a 66. It will work for the 50 oz and have the right bolt pattern that you need.

Hey Richard,
Did you use your older timing cover? I also read something about needing to check to waterpump flow direction.

Yes. use the old timing cover from a carb set up. I used a '69 cover, '69 water pump, and '69 pullies. They do need to match up.

you can run with the efi belt water pump etc but I decided not to because of the mess and the buying of the emlinator pullies for the power steering, smog, and air. I am glad I went the way I did. Also remember that if you keep the efi timing cover and pump that it is reverse flow.

Let me know if I can help in any other way. Others will jump in also. This place rocks!

Richard.
