Anyone ever seen this car before?
http://significantcars.com/cars/1969mustang/fullsize.html
In Hemmings they have it listed as a 1964 Mustang III prototype.

I can't believe that I have never heard of this car if it was a true prototype.
Methinks it is a custom car and they have their info wrong.

Methinks it is a privately built custom based on a '65/'66. Can't believe everything you read on the internet.

As Didgey says, it was built on the early model Mustang chassis. I looks as though they chopped out the back seats and made it into a two seater, with a shorter platform. I've got a model of a Mach III Mustang, but it looks nothing like that cobbled together thing.

Prototype, I don't think so!

I got you beat Mike! I have two ex-wives. LOL

Mellow,
I agree with you on the combination of an early mustang and a 240z. Couldn't have described it better.

I don't say this about many Mustang's but that is one UGLY car!

Definitely a mix of two distinct styling cues on that car... I agree on the prototype deal-false!

I like it! The fuel filler thing on the trunk is bad but the overall look is great.

You know,
That looks a little like the 68 Mustang proto that was dubed the MACH I..

See the MACH I at one time was due to be a 1968 option but was held back to 69...which was a good move.

Now If I could just find that 'zine again I read it in....

I agree with the 240Z and mustang sheet metal.

Saw a Mazda Miata with 65 sheet metal, it was real cool and professional done, you didn't notice it wasn't a mustang till you got real close to it.

Have you seen the AC Cobra kit they have for them? Not bad for that little car.

That is exactly what it is. Maybe a splash of Chevy Monza in there for flavor?
