Primary and secondary boosters can clog pretty easily. Here is a link that has pics of them in case you are not familiar with them (might be on the second page): http://mustangandfords.com/techarticles/mufp_0501_carburetors/index1.html------------------ 1970 Grabber Blue Mach 1 H-code 1970 Fastback 2003 Torch Red Mustang

Thanks for that link, it tells me more than all the literature I got with my carb by a long shot. I might be able to really understand this thing now .------------------ William The easiest way to find something lost, is to buy a replacement. 68 Coupe 289 C4 3:55's/Trac-Lok

Thanks a bunch. This link was just what i needed--Awsome The info on float adjust. was what i was looking for because a guy, who pulled over to help when the car cutt off, got the car to start twice, but both times it died only after about 4-5secs. He said the floats may have been adjusted too high. I was just about to go out to the garage and slap the carb back together, but now I can take a 2nd look at everything and know what i'm looking at this time , and how to make sure the floats are properly adjusted. Thanks soooo very much for that link.[This message has been edited by 66drop (edited 06-19-2006).]

Hey no prob. I've had my edelbrock carb apart about ten times now cause i was dumb and had one of those cheapo glass fuel filters with the plastic screen. needless to say it doesn't filter for crap and those boosters kept getting plugged up everytime i turned around. Let me know if i can help in any way.------------------ 1970 Grabber Blue Mach 1 H-code 1970 Fastback 2003 Torch Red Mustang

I just found out something pretty crappy Before you put an Edelbrock carb back together the rods should be taken out and put back in after the carb is back together again. I didn't take em out so I bent them. HEY EVERYONE don't make the same mistake I did.
