Anybody here done or know anybody that has done this conversion? Page 6 of the NPD catalog shows a kit that comes with custom upholstery and buns for the use on the original frames. What I like is the stock upholstery look but with side bolstering. Would like to know how you like them?

I’m thinking of the 69-70 Mach seats for the coupe and was thinking of these.

I have one person on another site that did this for a 66 and they love them. They also said that there is 5 ½” between the seat and the outer edge or their aftermarket 14” steering wheel. Anybody know the distance between the stock seat and steering wheel on a 68? Both of mine are out.

Otherwise Just a lot of questions from others so far.

I kind of wish I had one of those for the novelty since I’m not horizontally challenged.

5 inches between a stock wheel (16 inches) and a stock seat. But my stock seat is kind of broken down - the foam is all deteriorated so its down to the springs in the frame almost. I would bet with a fully restored seat it would be 4 inches.

I dont think the sport seat changes that much.
