I have a 65 coupe with palomino interior and cannot find a supplier that still carries palomino windlace. I've had many close alternatives suggested to me, but as I'm sure most of you would agree, I want the exact match. Does anyone out there with a palomino interior know of a supplier? Thanks!

It's me alright. I appreciate all the info you threw my way. The problem is that neither of these colors is the exact match. I had this same issue when buying interior paint. The color I found that matches exactly with palomino interior (upolstry, carpet, etc.) is actually "5757" (as opposed to the '5759' or '17690' shown in your reply). I was hoping someone else with this interior color has faced this dilemma.

Welcome to M&M Lucky! You have come to the right place for any and all help for your Mustang or Ford. Unfortunately, the demand for palomino interior is very low. Looking at the National Parts Depot (NPD) catalog, page 24, they do not offer palomino. More than likely, you will have to order the white windlace and dye it to match your interior. Stop on by "Sam's Place" and say "Hi" to the gang when you have time. Dave & Terri ------------------ '65 Mustang Fastback '66 Mustang Coupe '02 Explorer XLT Common sense isn't common anymore.

With so many different materials in the interior, none of them are an EXACT match. The carpet is slightly different from the upholstery, the upholstery is slightly different than the dash pad, the metal surfaces are yet another color. Get the closest match you can find and try not to stare at it while you're driving!

Yeah, the Palomino does not seem to be too popular. If they've stopped making windlace, I wonder what's next? Maybe I need to buy spare upolstry and carpet while I can still get it!

I have the palimino interior also. You are right - parts are hard to find.It appears Dallas Mustang has it. I got all my interior from them. They had a great selection of parchment pcs. Here is a link: http://www.dallasmustang.com/page/search.php?cmd=search&loaded=1&mode=keyword&auto_body=earlymodel&auto_year=1964-1973&searchyear=1964-1973&brand=&layout=L&max=25&words=windlace

Senzstang - Thank you, sir! I've ordered parchment windlace from Dallas Mustang and am anxiously awaiting. I don't understand why there isn't a 'palomino' windlace, but I supposed things don't always make sense.Honeyburst - I was mistaken in my response to you. I checked my records and '5759' is indeed the paint color that matches my interior perfectly. What confuses me is that it doesn't actually look like the color samples shown. It's much more of a lighter / peach kind of color. I'll let you know how 'parchment' works out.
