Ordered our carpet a couple of months ago. Been sitting in the box until yesterday. Two inches short (narrow) on each side.
64.5 coupes carpet edges are bound and go up to the rocker not over like later models. There is vinyl glued to the rocker instead of carpet.

Had an upholsterer friend come over late last night to help and attempt to steam and stretch and glue. He said it's impossible, too short.
Called M+ and they have more coming on Greyhound Bus to arrive here tomorrow. That's great customer service, but will the new carpet have the same problem?

I'm starting to have real doubts that my car will make it to Las Vegas next weekend.

Looks like you got convertible carpet.

Convertibles have an extra inner rocker panel that extends in towards the seat about 2 - 2.5".

Dang Joyce. That stinks. Sorry to hear of all the problems and yet here is another. At least Uncle Ron is there to help. I think Scott may also be correct about the carpet being meant for a ragtop and not a coupe. Hopefully it will all work out in time for the show. Hang in there. It's almost done, for now.

Don't believe it's convertible carpet. Coupe carpet is bound on the rocker edge in 64.5 and convertible carpet is not bound as it is hidden under the sill plate. The bus with the replacement carpet didn't arrive until after Mike went to work at 3 pm. So still don't know if it will be any better.

The issue today is the damn starter sticking. Got it turned over once, now the starter grinds. Everyplace to buy shims is closed. I was hoping to post "IT'S ALIVE!" Not yet....

Found out a package with NOS parts we've been waiting on that was supposed to be shipped last week still hasn't gone out...
GRRRRRR!!!

This is fun...... NOT!!!!!!!!
