I plan to spruce up the engine compartment
on our 65 Convertible with 289 4V.
What color is the top of the radiator. I have seen one with it Painted Gold,but most
are painted black. I know the valve covers
and air cleaner are gold. The snorkel part of air cleaner is supposed the be black. The rest of the motor should be Ford Black.
Please correct me if I am wrong,give a source of some more info,or if you know please share it with me.

With my experiences with Mustangs, especially '64.5-'66s, I've never seen one with a gold painted-topped radiator. Not saying there isn't...strange things happened back then. That one sounds a bit off the wall though. You are correct about the air cleaner and valve covers being gold and the air cleaner snorkel and engine block being black.
