anybody know the tread size for torque converter bolts on a c4 thanks

7/16ths coarse thread? It's certainly not fine thread. Don't you have a bucket of old nuts you can test out?

If it is the original Ford converter, the converter has studs so you will need nuts not bolts, if I remember correctly. Locking nuts is what I remember taking off mine. The replacement Edge converter used bolts. I'll check mine again when I get home and post the correct size. About an hour from now. OK I've checked, my OE converter has 3/8 x 24 threaded studs, I used the pinch type locknuts when I put it together. The replacement (Edge) converter did have holes and came with allen head bolts. They're available new from Ford, NPD, CJ Mustang, probably AMK
