Bought new 6 gauge bezel and my tabs for the bottom two holes are straight up and down, but they say on a 66 they are angled a bit. Has anyone had to bend these tabs before? Are they going to be plyable or brittle? Should I rig up an l bracket to use instead?Brian

I installed a JME cluster last month. Not only did I have problems with the tabs, my dash had been cut up in the past for a radio, a repair panel was welded in place to correct this. The repair plate made the depressed area that runs across the dash narrower than without the plate, I had (gasp) file the cluster in order to get it in place.Bend the tabs, be careful I did and had no problems. I also pulled at the metal across the top of the cluster in order to get a better fit across the top.

Would you mind posting a pic or two of how it looks now? Thanks Richard. ------------------ rmousir '66 Mustang Coupe Ford Blue & white stripes 95 roller 302, C4 Auto Offy 360 intake & Holley 4 bl carb grab-a-track 620s, 4.5 leafs, 1.25" drop blocks

Sure, I have one photo near the bottom here, in fact it shows a before and after photo. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/597572I used the Cobalt series electric gauges from Autometer. I liked these because of the 270 degree sweep, and the look more original than the white face units. The fuel gauge is programmable, the speedo is electronic, I used a VSS unit that connected to my GearVendor overdrive. I works great and I checked its accuracy, had my wife follow me on the highway, it reads the same as the speedo in her Explorer.

I wanted electic, I think most are available either way, but it is kinda of tough to have a mechanical voltmeter
