Putting 85 351w into 65 mustang, I have read that I need to plug the thermactor hole, what do I plug it with? Is there one or two holes per block?

I'd be careful of plugging those wholes.

The "Therm Actor's" guild will just have a fit over this blocking of their right to act.

There should be one tapped hole in the rear of each cylinder head. To close the holes you need a large pipe plug. Check with a local Ford dealer I think they actually have the correct plug.

I believe its called an A.I.R port. I think Napa should carry them.

Perhaps that'd work?

I think they are called thermactor plugs. you can get them from summit for $3.99 each. Kind of a pain to put in. I used a battery wire brush to clean out the thread in the head. then put them in.

Richard.
