Topic: Setting Valve Lash?

When setting valve lash does it matter which way you turn over the motor to get the lifter in the correct position (clockwise, counter clockwise)? please let me know thanks.

Due to being busy with other things the engine is still on the stand, but will be in the car within 2 weeks.
