Need the firing order on a 56 312 c.i. motor ........Also is the drivers side or passenger side front cylinder number 1. I was always told that the head closest to the front radiator support has the number 1 cylinder. On my 289,302 & 351 motors on my other cars number 1 is one the passenger side . However the 312 cylinder head on, the drivers side is closest to the radiator support. So am I correct in stating that the number 1 cylinder is on the drivers side on a 56 thunderbird with a 312 c.i. motor?
