Me again....
Hey, I saw on one of the Mustang II forums where someone posted a pic of the inside of a visor and instructions on how to the old rod out and how to put a new one in.

We ordered the new rods and tips but am afraid to try to get the old one out of the visor.
Any advice?

does it not just pull out like on the earlier models ???......(be careful not to break it off on the inside....you'll NEVER get it out).......

I hear they are hard to get out, that is why we are afraid to pull it out until I hear more. There was a post on some forum where the guy took some kind of tool to push the rod out and showed a pic of what the inside looked like on an old visor he had.
