I want to upgrade my 68 Fairlanes steering brakes and suspension. I want to hear from people who have done this and who they bought the parts from. One web site I did check out was http://www.rrs-online.com/. Has anyone used their products? Is there a "best" choice in vendor for these type of upgrades? Thanks Jim

the RRS stuff is amazing, the company put me in touch with 2 guys who installed the phase 1,2 kits & are blown away by difference in handling, one guy is a serious track car & says he;s dropped a full 9 seconds off his times . trouble is, the stuff is so expensive!!! Doesn;t it look similiar to the SN-95 coil overs to you?

62 Fairlane sport coupe. so, my only choice is rrs as no one else makes a rack, coil over set up for our 62-65 F;lanes. with the rrs set up, nothc kit i can go 351 or at least use headers other than my Hooker super comps, you do not want to change the plugs! with their notch kit i can build a set of headers or use JBA;s. Now, if i can just get Tony at rrs to give me a better price, all in i;m at 5k American! I;ve done some tech articles for magazines, trying to talk Tony into giving me a deal & i;ll write it all up. the Gear Vendor people were more than happy to do this, so got my fingers crossed

I just put in their manual rack in my car and the steering is really amazing. Yes it is pricey but once you drive it, its well worth it. Nice! what motor? headers? clear ok? A torino? Is the manual rack ok, do you wish you had gone power? Do you get the parts to bolt up to your stock tie rods?

It's a Windsor with FPA 1 3/4" headers. Very close to the rack, I actually raised the motor a 1/4" to get a little more clearance. Like any manual car, it's only tough to steer when slow turning other then that it is great. Yes, it uses your stock outer tie rods. The rack comes with inners which are stock length also.

Very nice, i;m going with their manual rack for starters. I;ve found this little company(post on here) who makes an adapter to install coil overs to exsisting early Ford suspension points, he;s at Sema or some such place until weeks end so i don;t know much more other than its a bolt in an early Mustang, falcon, which doesn;t mean it will fit F'lane but i;m hoping.
