FReEk,

There was a posting regarding this type of move recently going into a Mustang. The drift of the answer was, WHY?

The size of the 4.6, if I am recalling right, is almost the size of a Boss 429.

Consensus was a good 351 (C or W) would be a better and easier swap.

Sell that motor and tranny and get a 351. What transmission do you have in the car now?

There are just a ton of aftermarket parts for the 351W. Plus there are used parts that can be refurbished and made like new.

BTW, what are you going to use the car for?

Its got a C4 right now. I want it to be my daily driver and i think it would be more fuel effcient going with 4.6 .

To make room for the 4.6 the shock towers would have to removed, so your looking at putting in something like a mustang II setup which is alot of work and expense. Kits start at around 2K. Then you need someone that is very good at welding to install it. Alot of work.
