why are the rear leafs angled inwards on my 64 'lane...when you look from behind you can see that the rear shackles do not line up with the front perchs, meaning the leafs angle inwards? is there a reason for this and can I change the front leaf hangers to a new location to straighten out the leafs? what i want to do is relocate the front perchs so i can install cal-tracs which i cant put on right now because the front spring eye is inside a box hanging off the inside of my frame rail.:-?

I don;t think they changed from 62-65, my 62;s & 63;s certainly don;t angle inwards.
Are the rear hangers stock, in stock location?

yest, they are in the stock location, though the shackles are not original... is it possible that the original shackles rather than hanging straight down have an offset in them?

That's the way they come, the only reason to angle the rear of them inward is for tire clearance. You can make offset shackles to do that.

My rear shackles are offset, never noticed before, the inside bracket comes straight down to the spring, whereas, the outside bracket has a jog in it to the spring.
I don;t remember but maybe i used different brackets when the 8.8" went under her.
Other than not having to use lowering blocks(with the stock 8") to get the right stance, this was the only mod.
